About the role
The Business Development Lead will be reporting directly to the C.E.O in lead generation and closing deals. The lead is responsible for selling eLimu’s learning platform to both B2B and B2C targets ranging from schools, bookshops and retailers to parents, parent groups and sponsors to drive revenue goals for eLimu.
Responsibilities:
Marketing: Consistently lead and follow up with all sales and marketing events in line with marketing goals during a given time period. Increase awareness about our products through social media, school events, parent events, book events and regular appearance in malls
B2B Sales: Develop relationships with retailers that can sell our software on commission to hardware retailers, bookshops, schools as well as PTAs.
Channel development: Use existing sales networks to sell our software on commission to unique but high potential channels such as Chamas and Mother’s groups
Customer Engagement: Better understand their users to help them focus the marketing efforts specifically targeting both the school and parent segments.
Sponsorships: Develop business partnerships to sponsor content and drive adoption through the corporate and program networks.
Does this sound like you?
At least 2 years sales experience
Ability to generate sales revenue on an annual basis and close high grossing deals
Background in sales support activities such as: exhibitions, conferences, customer visits and meetings
Can effectively communicate with both business and technical team
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Responsible for reporting customer feedback according to applicable quality standard policy
Strong Analytical and technical skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
Ability to work in fast paced environment
Detail oriented and not letting tasks fall within the cracks
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Effective decision making skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
