Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Commerce Degree or equivalent
Professional Qualifications: CPA (K) ACCA FinalistMBA, MSC will be an added Advantage
Minimum Experience: Minimum 5 years preferably in the ISP industry
Core Duties
The Finance Manager will oversee all financial aspects of the business and drive the company’s financial strategy, planning and commercial controls. He/she will be responsible for providing concise and timely Financial Reports, assessing the financial performance of the company as well as possible risks and investments.
He/she leads the Finance Team and is also responsible for the enforcement internal control systems in support of the business objectives and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and related International Financial Reporting Standards.
The goal is to guide the company towards sustainable profitability and long-term success.
Key Deliverables/ Key roles:
Ensure accurate and timely monthly operational reporting (IS, Balance sheet, Cash Flow and Others) for the Directors and Group Senior Managers and act to prevent problems.
Drive financial planning and controls of the company by analyzing its performance and risks
Oversee and manage the Finance department Human resources including setting of objectives periodic performance management and appraisals for the team members.
Approving all payments
Approval of LPOs and modifications (clients journals/credit notes)
Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and business projections on a timely basis
Reviewing Bank and GL reconciliations while resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities ï‚· Pricing and remodeling of company products.
Oversee budgeting process and any capital expenditure approval and monitoring implementation
Ensure compliance of all Statutory and Regulatory Laws and Regulations
Ensure compliance with the Taxation Law and carry out effective tax planning of the company and ensure tax compliance in liaison with Company’s tax advisors and the KRA
Ensure timely and accurate billing of subscribers
Ensure collections from clients are within the allowable credit period.
Institute preventative and detective system of controls in the finance department and ensure the controls are consistently applied
Maintenance of the Company’s key contracts, licenses and other statutory records
Prepare Annual Financial Statements and oversee the annual statutory audit
Management of external stakeholders such as banks, suppliers, lawyers and clients.
Maintain Statutory records and books of account as required under the Company’s Act
Prepare and submit ad hoc reports as may be required by the Group from time to time.
