JOB DESCRIPTION:
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years working in a project management role in Africa, for a company that has rapidly scaled its operation, faces logistical challenges in a remote location, and is focused on operational excellence:
Leadership to drive construction projects with complete end-to-end ownership over timeline, budget and resourcing, quality and safety measures, labor and management, and outcome
Ability to develop the construction KPIs, measure and track against KPIs and budgets, and make monthly improvements through systems, improving skills, organization, and scale
Lead and develop strong technical team of various artisans, including electricals, plumbing, masonry, tiling, carpentry, excavations, civil works, and other construction projects
Structure workflows, develop SOPs, and develop highly standardized approach to construction of projects on farm and management of any third parties
Support and manage our community relations efforts, build close and lasting ties to stakeholders
Demonstrate desire to relocate/live to farm site, based in rural Homa Bay County
