Job purpose
Reporting to the cluster Finance and Administration Director, the Cluster Management Control Director:
Is responsible for coordinating preparation of the annual budget, the quarterly forecasts, monthly reports as well as indicators facilitating analysis of the cluster profitability.
Provides economic and financial analysis necessary for the operational and strategic management of the cluster and its subsidiaries as well as management of activities and decision making.
Oversees the production and consolidation of management reports and guarantees their integrity.
Oversees the effective implementation of processes, accounting and financial rules of the group within the cluster
Functions and responsibilities
Preparation of monthly reports for the cluster management and the group management control department
Preparation of reports for the cluster management and the group management control department within the given deadlines
Monthly analysis of the cluster performance by review of variations between the actual results and budgeted amounts then investigate and report on the related causes
Providing monthly comments for the cluster performance
Preparation of reports for operations team
Preparation and presentation of cluster activity dashboards as per the defined frequency.
Preparation and presentation of ad hoc analysis as per the request of cluster or regional management
Analysis of the company’s performance
Closely monitoring the tools and KPIs that enable evaluation of the cluster’s performance
Generate and analyse the defined indicators
Highlight and propose areas of optimization
Identification of improvement areas through benchmarking of the cluster subsidiaries and monitoring their implementation within the cluster
Participate and be the lead of ad hoc projects (Including IT projects for the finance department)
Preparation of short- and medium-term forecasts and being the lead of the budget process
Adapt the budget creation procedures and oversee their implementation by the operations staff in collaboration with the regional finance and administration directors
Collect, analyse and summarise budget data from countries and/or regions.
Prepare forecasts and reforecasts as per the groups’ defined schedule
Facilitate ad hoc studies and specific business cases
Control the closing of accounting
Be in charge of intercompany flows coordination
Being in charge of consolidation of the monthly P&L
Participate in development of analytical accounting in collaboration with the group’s management control department
Internal Control and Audit
Follow up and share the internal audit recommendations within the cluster
Oversee the application of group rules within the cluster.
Control and optimization of the information system
Participate in the development of the accounting and financial information systems by acting as the project manager
Risk Management
Identify and quantify the risks affecting the company (interest rate, foreign exchange, raw materials, the effects…)
MISSION QUALITY ENVIRONMENTAL SECURITY
Respect the rules defined in the Environmental Management System framework
Report any identified environmental non-conformities
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree with specialization in accounting, control, audit or finance or equivalent from experience in these fields
Business school with a specialization in finance
And/or 5 years university degree in management and finance,
And/or MBA in business management or finance
10 years’ experience as a corporate controller or equivalent
Experience in management of teams.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Proficiency in use of management tools and concepts (SAGE, Qlick…)
Mastery of reports summarizing techniques
Excellent relationship and business skills
Competency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) and be up to date with new communication and information technology
Proficient in English and French.
