Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 35,400 – Kshs. 46,230 p.m. (Job Group ‘K’)
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –

a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification from a university recognized in Kenya; and
been registered by the Engineers’ Registration Board as a Graduate Engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities
This is will be the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a more experienced officer. Specific duties and responsibilities shall include: –

measuring and recording of elements during development and production;
assisting petroleum drilling and related engineering work programmes designated projects;
participating in petroleum resource exploration;
assisting in measurement of downhole parameters including temperature flow- rate and pressure of oil and gas;
participating in installation and maintenance of discharge test equipment; and
Participating in oil well completion test programmes.
