Responsibilities
Preparation of management accounts and related reports.
Managing the day to day operations of the Finance Department to ensure entries are captured accurately and timely into the accounting software.
Manage and motivate Finance Department staff to ensure the department meets its obligations and goals.
Preparing weekly reports to the directors.
Management of bank accounts and cash accounts
Ensure all statutory obligations are met properly and on time.
Ensure prudent management of taxation and fully compliance with the tax act.
Ensure continuous automation of accounting procedures and full utilization of the accounting software.
Preparation of budgets and performing detailed well explained variance analysis.
Cash flow management and projections. Act as the liaison person with the banks.
Ensure accounting vouchers, documents and reports are filed and kept in an orderly manner.
Perform any other duties assigned by the directors.
Administering VAT and processing returns
Administering the company’s payroll and associated statutory requirements (PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, leave)
Qualifications
Diploma in Business Management/Accountant or related fields
A CPA(K) holder
At least 2 years’ experience in accounting
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge and experience in using Accounting Software packages such as QuickBooks
