HR Officer

Job description
Samsung Electronics Africa Office is currently looking for a suitably qualified and experienced HR Officer to be based in Kenya.
Requirements:

Experience with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
2+ years’ exposure to the human resources functions
Bachelors Degree or Diploma in HR
Excellent communication skills
Well-groomed and well presented
Sound knowledge of operational standards and procedures of human resources
Strong sense of service and customer orientation
Excellent organisation and planning skills
Independent thinking
Attention to detail

Responsibilities:

Handle all recruitment queries in a responsive, customer-focused way – providing a comprehensive first line of information and advice.
Provide excellent customer service to external and internal candidates
Respond to queries from recruiting managers, supporting and advising them to follow the correct procedures for high quality recruitment
Communicate effectively and confidently at all levels, over the phone, face to face and by email
Arrange for shortlisted candidates to take relevant assessments, mark and record results accurately to contribute to the recruitment decision
Process all reference requests , chase and ensure responses are back within agreed timescales
Manage all new hire applications in a timely and accurate manner to minimise errors and delays
Review and log all returned disclosures, informing recruiting managers of the outcome where appropriate
Build up a data base of prospective candidates for the different job categories
Draft new and existing temporary, fixed term and permanent employment contracts as well as conditional offer letters nationally in accordance with prescribed service level agreement
Receive signed contracts from business
Send completed information to payroll to process
Update staff movement tracker including new joiners, transfers, and terminations
Prepare staff movement letters in accordance with HRBP requests including transfers, increases, promotions and staff removal
Send confirmation of employment letters as requested by employees
Experience in service delivery preferably in a corporate environment with an understanding of business partnering
