Job Description
We are seeking an experienced manger to oversee Jikokoa activations On The Ground (OTG) and in supermarkets. The manager will be responsible for managing a team of (20-30) sales activators in Nairobi, scheduling events, and analyzing activation data and activator performance. The manager will also be responsible for managing regional offices, staffing regional offices, and managing regional team leaders to support retail channels, General Trade, MFI’s, and other distributors at the regional level.
Roles and responsibilities:
Staff Management: Ensure 20-30 sales Kenya activators arrive at work in a timely manner, are well presented, and ready for work. Oversee sales activators commissions, work schedule, develop & report KPI’s, and training. Manage regional activation staff, have direct reports from regional team leaders.
Hire/Fire: Hire and fire sales activators as needed. Discipline and reward activators as needed.
Training & Coaching: Train sales activators and team leaders so they have a thorough understanding of the BURN products he/she sells and are highly motivated for activations. Train regional managers to motivate and educate their local teams members for sales and distributor support. Train on products, value proposition, selling techniques.
Scheduling: Determine activation schedule by locations, day, times. Manage activator schedules in Nairobi. Oversee activators schedules by regional office.
Event Planning: Ensure that all required permits, food, cooking equipment, marketing material, etc. are planned for and ready for the sales activations on a daily basis and monthly OTG events (tied to radio, conferences, farm shows, etc.). Work with and manage our celebrity ambassador at marketing & OTG events.
Reporting: Record issues & lessons learned via Word/Excel, & communicate these to VP of Sales.
Measurement & Analysis: Measure and analyze ROI of activations; sales volumes by sales channel, distributor, and location; and additional metrics for success. Measure and analyze individual activator performance vs. KPI’s.
Professional Development: Attend trainings and meetings in BURN office as requested. Help develop regional managers into good managers of local activator staff.
Applicant Requirements:
College Degree
Previous experience, 3+ years, managing a staff of 20-40 sales staff.
Previous experience, 3+ years, maintaining a weekly, monthly, and quarterly OTG marketing event schedule.
Previous experience, 3+ years, recruiting, hiring, disciplining, and firing staff.
