Central Rift Valley Zone: Based in Molo and hosted by Baraka Agricultural College
Baraka Agricultural College and NIA are members of PELUM Kenya Network in the respective zones.
The recruited officers will be responsible for coordinating PELUM Kenya activities at the zonal level which includes fund raising for sustainability of the zones, strategic engagement at zonal level, coordination of capacity building initiatives in climate change, sustainable natural resource management and agribusiness for Member Organizations in the designated zone.
The ideal candidate should as a minimum have the following:
Have at least a diploma in the relevant discipline especially agriculture, environmental science, and any other community development related discipline. A bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned field would be an added advantage
Have worked for active NGOs and or vibrant networks for a least two years
Have skills and experience in fund raising for community and networking projects. Skills in proposal writing are an essential requirement
Have skills in report writing and documentation and ability to meet deadlines
Be a self-driven individual with a zeal for result and excellence and ability to work under minimal supervision
Have excellent communication skills in English and Kiswahili
Be willing to grow through learning, being mentored
Be computer literate with the proven ability to use essential software packages.
Be willing to work with people of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds
Be willing to grow the profile of the zone
