Job Description
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for running of the stores function within the accounting department
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Assist in implementing procurement policies and procedures.
Evaluation of quotations, raising Purchase Orders and sending to approved suppliers
Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely and organized delivery of goods and services.
Conducting annual procurement planning especially on imports and bulk purchases
Ensure proper record keeping and documents tracking
Offer assistance to user departments on implementation of the procurement policies
Conduct suppliers performance evaluation
Maintain and update Approved Suppliers list
Keep custody of suppliers agreements, contracts and SLAs
Maintain weekly and monthly procurement reports and KPIs
Report shortfalls and surplus inventory, weekly and monthly for replenishment
Skills, Competencies, Experience
Diploma in Purchasing Supplies Management , Stores Management or related field
Minimum 3 Years’ Experience a busy warehouse
Accounting Background is an added advantage
Proficiency in Quick Books
Possess good overall understanding of Procurement related operations
Good planning skills
Able to use computer applications effectively in MS office
Possess knowledge in inventory accounting, inventory storage systems
Be aged between 28-35 years
