Electrician

Job Responsibilities

Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures;
Assembling, installing, testing and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures;
Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components so as to locate the cause of a breakdown and to take corrective action;
Installing ground leads and connecting power cables to equipment, such as motors and generators;
Ensuring timely and consistent maintenance for all electrical appliances;
Repairing fridges and air-conditioning equipments to ensure they are in good working condition;
Connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers or other components;
Inspecting electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair to ensure compliance with standards;
Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system;
Consistently checking on premise’s electricity meter readings and tallying them with actual bills; and
Performing any other duties assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

Certificate in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution; or
KCSE grade C- (Minus) or its equivalent; and
At least three (5) years working experience in hospitality industry.
Age 30- 35 yrs
