IT Infrastructure Sales Consultant

The IT Infrastructure Sales Consultant is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and prospects, driving business growth by understanding client technical requirements, delivering compelling presentations, crafting tailored techno-commercial proposals, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role involves sales planning, execution, negotiation, and closing of orders to meet revenue and profitability targets.

Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development:

Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers to identify business opportunities for IT infrastructure solutions.
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Actively generate and qualify leads through market research, networking, and other channels.
Manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline for long-term business growth.

Customer Engagement and Solution Design:

Understand client technical requirements and propose suitable IT infrastructure solutions, including cloud services, storage, backup and virtualisation.
Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to design and customize solutions based on client needs.
Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and product demonstrations to key stakeholders.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients by offering insights on industry trends and best practices.

Proposal Development and Sales Execution:

Develop comprehensive and competitive techno-commercial proposals tailored to client requirements.
Negotiate terms and conditions to close sales deals while maintaining profitability.
Prepare and submit sales projection plans and forecasts.
Ensure accurate and timely execution of sales orders and project handovers to technical teams.

Customer Satisfaction:

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining effective communication and timely resolution of issues.
Follow up on project delivery and support services to ensure alignment with client expectations.

Reporting and Performance Monitoring:

Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue projections.
Maintain CRM systems and documentation for accurate reporting and forecasting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT.
Must have experience in storage, backup, cloud and virtualisation technologies
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into business value propositions.
Customer-focused with the ability to build long-term relationships.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to sales opportunities.
Knowledge of CRM software and sales tracking tools.
Proficient in CRM tools and sales tracking systems.
Willingness to travel to meet with clients as necessary.
