To oversee the provision of security services by coordinating protection, safe guarding and access control in buildings, other premises and their contents, against external threats and potential losses according to the prescribed security policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Operations
Implement and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure effective, fair and consistent management throughout the organisation.
Assist employees and visitors during an emergency.
Record and report all incidences into the internal incident log registry.
Ensure that the contracted security officers are performing at optimal and well supervised.
Assist the assistant security officer and chief security officer in administration
Conduct preliminary investigations and coordinate at advance stage
Ensure that all the security apparatus are functioning optimally and all defects are logged and raised with relevant departments/service providers asap.
Monitor alarm systems and other security equipment
Conduct inspections for physical and safety hazards
Perform investigations and hold interviews
Conduct patrols
Assist employees and visitors during an emergency
Evacuate/Escort individuals from the premises when necessary
Administration
Provide supervision of contracted security officers.
Principal assistance to assistant security officer.
Monitor and implement the approved budget ensuring compliance and prudent spending.
Ensure effective utilization of resources allocated.
Ensure appropriate handling of customers & members on phone, email and in person.
Requisition, maintain and distribute office supplies and equipment.
Ensure adequate handling of all general correspondence and documents received through mail and in person, as well as outgoing mail
Prepare and submit timely reports and information for decision making.

Academic, Experience and Professional Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in security studies/related field or KCSE holder of D+ coupled with 3 years and above work experience.
Proficiency in ICT with strong MS office and internet ability.
Experience in having working with the Big five or Tier one security firms will be ana added advantage
Physically fit and not less than 5.7 inch.
Experience in supervising a team.
Experienced in management of outsourced security team is an added advantage
