Technical Operations Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Technical Operations Engineer the candidate will work with the company’s partners and clients to design, deploy and implement portfolio solutions. The candidate will be responsible for providing pre-sales technical support when needed in the development of Statements of Work (SOW). The candidate will deliver internal knowledge transfer, external training and help keep that training updated as the products and needs of the company’s customers evolve.  
As a Technical Operations Engineer, you will work consistently with the Customer Success and the Security Operations Centre (SOC) department to ensure the subscribed solution(s) are fully deployed and optimized per the company’s standards so that solutions are deployed optimally and turned over for ongoing SOC monitoring services.

Responsibilities:

Assist partners and clients with the initial deployment of subscribed solution(s)
Complete deployments per the company’s standards including initial tuning and optimization.
Provide regular updates to the company’s leadership and related client contacts about the ongoing status of the deployment and any related issues requiring assistance.
Document the deployment and provide a formal audit at the end of each installation that provides an accurate record of what is setup and what may still be required.
Weekly updates for tasks completed for Security Engineer as a Service.
Configure the company’s appliances as needed for deployment.
Collect Client SOC Survey & Context field details as part of regular onboarding.
Continuous training with certification completion for assigned technologies.
Keep knowledge base articles and related documentation up to date.
Provide technical diagrams in Visio or Gliffy as needed.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in a Technology discipline or equivalent field experience.
Two (2) years of experience in Cyber Security and/or Information Technology (IT) Security.
Experience in deploying networking equipment and general network configuration.
Experience deploying and managing IDS and SIEM solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills working with clients and partners.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills working in a team environment
