Senior Manager, Justice Systems Interventions (SM-JSI)

Key Responsibilities

Strategically lead the justice interventions team track and document casework trends, lessons and experiences to inform justice system strengthening interventions.
Lead a strong team that embodies IJM’s spiritual rhythms, core values and efficiently and effectively delivers on their mandate.
Recruit, mentor, lead and support the investigations and legal teams.
Develop and implement strategies to ensure sufficient case referrals to IJM.
Provide leadership and direction to the Justice Systems Interventions (JSI) team to ensure that they meet program goals in line with the IJM global 2030 vision.
Ensure compliance with IJM’s budgetary, ethics and professionalism standards, and IJM casework best practices.
Develop and implement casework goals and strategies, budgets, staffing plans, monitoring and evaluation metrics for our established casework program goals.
Develop and maintain strong strategic partnerships to deliver justice to our clients.
Coordinate meetings with partners and power actors to advance IJM’s theory of change and casework goals.
Provide expert casework input and resources for the design, development, delivery and ongoing monitoring and evaluation of our justice strengthening programs.
Lead the JSI team in supporting the implementation of Partnership, Policy & Advocacy (PPA) program activities with government partners, specifically by delivery of training, lobbying and advocacy events, partner learning and sharing sessions.
Develop strategies for sharing client and IJM stories to support program goals.
Ensure that IJM and its agents comply with all relevant laws and professional ethics.
Assist in hosting guests, visitors, and volunteers.
Monitor the staffing needs of the JSI department and devise strategies for maintaining work-life balance to ensure that the JSI team is healthy and resilient.
Design training material to build capacity for various IJM partners.
Track up-to-date case-related data on paper and in the IJM data management system (JDS), ensuring the accuracy and usability of the data.
Maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.
Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Country Director/Supervisor.

Requirements

Master’s degree in law, Business Administration, Project Management, Public Policy and Administration or any other related Social Science.
Bachelor’s degree in law with a valid practicing certificate.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in court room advocacy and at least 5 years successfully leading a team.
Strong ability to achieve results through a multi-disciplinary team.
A proven leader with strong emotional intelligence.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to present complex data and information in a clear and compelling manner to a wide range of stakeholders.
