ABOUT THE ROLE
The company is seeking to recruit a Social Media Account Manager.
The person will be responsible for managing client social media accounts and oversee all the company’s communication efforts. They will develop and implement informed content strategies tailored to the strengths of the different social media platforms to increase client brand awareness and affinity. In doing so, the social media manager will maximize customer engagement with client(s) goods and services, thereby helping achieve the goals and objectives for the year.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Increase engagement for existing audiences with high-quality content and social initiatives.
Acquire new followers by filling gaps in client marketing content output.
Align the company’s and client brand with new and emerging trends
Analyze the company’s social media strategy to make frequent improvement suggestions
Create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers through popular social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
Monitor all aspects of social media interaction between customers and the company and ensure a positive customer service experience
Stay up to date with new and emerging trends to help the company’s social media presence consistently relevant
Establish key performance indicators to understand efficacy of existing social campaigns and adjust strategy for further optimizations
Improve return on investment (ROI) through more consistently on-target messaging
Identify new channels and new strategies to embed our brand that align our market direction
Glean insights from social data using monitoring tools
Generate regular reports showcasing content performance metrics, ROI analysis, and recommendations for improvement.
Explore and recommend innovative content formats, such as interactive content and technologies to enhance user engagement and content effectiveness.
Good understanding of how the different social media platforms function
Conduct meetings and sessions with clients as and when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
A Degree or Diploma in any field
Experience with social media tools
Experience developing social media strategies
Ability to develop the right voice for each social media platform
Proven ability to build social media communities
Good understanding of video editing and graphic design will be a significant added advantage
Experience as a social media account manager is an added advantage
Strong understanding of marketing strategy and how to effortlessly utilize these concepts throughout various forms of outreach
Ability to measure success of social media campaigns
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Professional certification in Google Analytics is an added advantage
Must have a strong online presence and a passion for the web.
General knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and internet ranking for the web
Excellent online research skills
Ability to work in a team
Proactive and self-motivated
A fast leaner. Must have the willingness and ability to research, learn, and apply new ideas quickly.
Good command of English – both oral and written communication
