Job Overview

The Quality Manager Clinical shall provide leadership for provision of the Quality services in the clinical aspects of the medical department by monitoring the implementation Quality standards
Increases management’s effectiveness by empowering clinicians to follow correct practices when attending to patients while at the medical Centre.
Provide leadership in risk management
Monitor the referral process to ensure efficiency

Responsibilities

Ensure the clinical staff attend training as part of improving their knowledge and skills
Organize quarterly competency test for all departments Review of the standard treatment guidelines to ensure they are updated with current internationally recognized protocols • Establishment and monitoring of the Quality variance report Conduct internal quality audit of medical Center to determine progress towards achieving company quality goals and targets
Support Medical Centers to close the identified gaps from the audits through continuous quality improvement processes Oversee risk management through tracking of risks and ensuring timely support and closure of reported cases by relevant stakeholders Conduct regular competency tests, EMR audits and process audits of Clinicians
Conduct prescription audits across medical centers and forward cases of non-compliance for administrative action whenever necessary.
Assist in the development and implementation of tools, policies, procedures and job aids to promote compliance and commitment to quality in the department
Oversee the planning and implementation of the continuous medical education program, in line with the company priorities. Participate in recruitment, orientation, mentorship and discipline of medical officers and clinical officers across the company.
Assist in development and implementation of programs and strategies that support Culture methodologies while holding colleagues and teams accountable to quality standards Participate in task forces/committees as appointed by the company
Participate in departmental meetings to build teamwork, communicate, identify problems and agree on solutions, evaluate departmental performance etc.
Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor(s)

Requirements

Bachelors Medicine and Surgery MBChB
Registered by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists board
Valid Practice License and Professional Indemnity Experience
5+ years of experience

Technical skills/Leadership competencies

Certificate/ good grasp in quality methodologies ACLS/ATLS/BLS Certification
Wide knowledge of the health industry Proficiency in computer application packages
Ability to work under minimum supervision
Proven leadership, communication, interpersonal and decision-making skills
