Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records, including preparing and processing invoices, payments, and receipts.
Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
Reconcile bank statements and monitor accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Prepare statutory returns payments, including VAT, PAYE, NSSF, and NHIF, in a timely manner.
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely collections and payments.
Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting procedures and implement best practices.
Provide financial insights to management to aid in decision-making and strategy formulation.
Assist in audits by providing necessary financial data and supporting documentation.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial transactions and records.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or a related field.
CPA Part 1 qualification
A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in an insurance field
Proficiency in accounting software or similar tools.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Strong understanding of Kenyan tax laws and regulatory compliance.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity, attention to detail and confidentiality.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
