Key Responsibilities
Gathering and analyzing information, formulating, and testing strategic risk hypotheses, and developing and communicating strategic risk management recommendations.
Overall liaison of strategic risk assessment template dissemination, engagement meetings, collation, and presentation.
Cascade of independent strategic risk management reviews against approved plan and quarterly review of likelihood of meeting strategic objectives.
Prepare monthly Strategic Risk Monitoring reports to EXCO and Senior Management, and half-yearly reports to the Board.
Provide management of the overall strategic risk management review process, working in conjunction with responsible line leaders and champions
Work with various internal stakeholders to manage strategic risk assessments, validation, and tracking for all units
Developing Strategic Business Impact Analysis and Vulnerabilities and the risks to the development and implementation of strategic plans.
Monitor and advise on the effectiveness and performance of responsibilities related to Strategic Plan implementation by Business teams and Support function
Academic & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university (Required)
Professional Qualifications: Any certification in Strategic Risk Management (Added Advantage)
MBA in Strategic Management, Strategic Risk Management, or a similar field
Experience
Total Minimum Years of Experience: 5 years
Essential Experience:
5 years of Management Experience in Banking
4 years of Risk Management in Banking
3 years of Strategic Risk Assessment & Reporting
3 years of Stakeholder Management
3 years of Project Management
3 years of People Management
Desirable Experience:
2 years of Strategy Development
