Job Purpose:
To lead the hospital’s security team, ensuring the safety of patients, staff, visitors, and hospital assets. Leverage military or police expertise to implement strategic securi- ty measures, foster discipline within the security team, optimize resources, and contribute to cost reduction ini- tiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:

Enforce adherence to policies to minimize risks.
Incident Management and Reporting:
Investigate and document security breaches and incidents.
Liaise with law enforcement when needed.
Maintain logs of patrols, incidents, and resolutions.
Strategic Planning and Contribution: Advise leadership on security best practices. Develop and review contingency plans for emergencies. Ensure a secure and welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
Supervise security guards, ensuring professionalism and Qualifications: discipline.
Develop work schedules to minimize overtime.
Conduct staff training on safety, customer service, and resource use. Act as the escalation point for critical issues.
Security Operations:
Implement access control and surveillance measures.
Conduct patrols to identify vulnerabilities.
Oversee security equipment and coordinate emergency responses to minimize disruptions.
Cost-Cutting Measures:
Identify inefficiencies and optimize resource allocation.
Propose cost-effective solutions for security tools.
Reduce utility wastage and report trends in theft
Minimum of a diploma in security studies; additional certifications in security management or safety are preferred.
Retired or honorably resigned police officer or Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer with at least 5 years of leadership experience in security or defense operations.
