Commercial Manager

About the job

Experience : Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in sales and marketing roles, preferably in the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Role:

Develop a deep understanding of QMP’s strategic and value creation plans, with a specific focus on sales initiatives.
Create and implement a strategic sales plan for HON, supermarkets, foodservice/HORECA, and other sales channels, aligned with QMP’s long-term objectives.
Lead the existing sales team, including retail and merchandizing teams, to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
Identify and prospect for new potential markets, including fast-food outlets, trolley sales, smokie vendors, and similar outlets.
Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) to coordinate and support the implementation of value creation initiatives and other business projects.
Translate corporate objectives into business plans and budgets, manage plan execution across departments, and build superior working relationships to drive performance.

Skills

Proven track record of driving revenue growth, sales expansion, and market share gains.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
Excellent analytical abilities with a strategic mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
Knowledge of the Kenyan market and the meat industry would be advantageous
