Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Lead with a background in civil engineering, structural engineering, architecture, or technical management within the manufacturing and construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of technical specifications, design requirements, and applications for roofing tiles and light gauge construction materials, combined with a strong ability to drive sales and business development efforts.
This role bridges the gap between technical knowledge and sales, making you a key player in the growth and success of our organization. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and design professionals to identify opportunities, develop tailored solutions, and lead the sales process from initial inquiry to project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and generate new business opportunities within the roofing tiles and light gauge construction sectors.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and developers.
Lead and support the sales team in achieving revenue targets and expanding the company’s market share.
Leverage your technical expertise in civil engineering, structural engineering, architecture, or technical management to provide in-depth product knowledge to clients.
Assist in designing and recommending customized roofing and construction solutions based on client requirements and industry standards.
Prepare and present technical proposals, including product specifications, drawings, and cost estimates.
Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups, proposal submission, and client meetings.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of projects from quote to delivery.
Negotiate pricing and contracts, ensuring profitability while maintaining strong client relationships.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and competitor products, particularly in roofing tiles and light gauge construction.
Provide insights on market demands and collaborate with product development teams to enhance product offerings.
Foster long-term relationships with clients through regular check-ins, project updates, and feedback collection.
Provide post-sales support and address any technical or product-related issues to ensure client satisfaction.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
Proven experience (3+ years) in a technical sales, business development, or project management role within the manufacturing or construction industry, particularly in roofing systems, light gauge steel framing, or related fields.
Experience working with roofing tiles, construction materials, and light gauge construction systems is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of construction practices, product specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
Proficient in CAD software, technical drawing interpretation, and product design solutions.
Familiarity with roofing materials, light gauge steel framing, and related construction products is a plus.
Proven track record in driving sales, generating leads, and achieving business growth targets.
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
