Quality Assurance Specialist

What you’ll do

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases for web applications, with adaptability to mobile testing when required.
Identify, document, and manage defects in Jira, ensuring clear communication with development teams and prompt resolution.
Create detailed, step-by-step user guides to help customers navigate and use the product effectively.
Provide actionable feedback to the Product and Development teams, recommending improvements to enhance product quality and user experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Familiarity with Jira for defect tracking and Confluence.
2-3 years of manual testing experience, with a track record of improving product quality.
Proven expertise in testing web applications; experience with mobile apps testing is a plus.
Technical writing experience is a plus, as it enhances the clarity and quality of user guides and documentation.
Familiarity with RESTful and SOAP APIs, as well as HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) and response codes.
Proficiency in using tools like Postman to manually test API endpoints.
Ability to read and validate JSON and XML responses
Familiarity with common authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, API keys, and tokens
Understanding of common security practices to identify potential vulnerabilities and ensure the secure handling of sensitive data.
Proficient in manual testing methodologies, test case creation, and defect tracking.
Basic knowledge of SQL.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with high attention to detail and a collaborative approach.
Ability to quickly learn new concepts and proactively suggest improvements to maintain high-quality standards
