Strategy Analyst

The Strategic Analyst is responsible for production of timely, error-free and insightful management accounts tailored to meet the needs of the Board and also department head. S/he will be responsible for the Board, FP&A system and its development. A substantially analytical role, this will involve: high levels of accuracy and precision; analytical mindset; strong verbal and written communication; and internal stakeholder management.

Roles & Responsibilities

Planning & Forecasting :Responsible for sourcing data and analysis to ensure the optimization of all operations activities, propositions and channels to achieve maximum returns.
Automate data analysis and reporting to ensure there is timely delivery of reports needed for decision-making.
Timely preparation of monthly management accounts: including written and graphical analysis of business performance, based on discussions with product and department managers
Annual budgeting process: lead in consolidation & completion of budget inputs, stakeholder management within the operations
Lead Quarterly Forecasting process: including input consolidation, stakeholder management & appropriate supporting analysis
Planning Calendar: clear communication & ownership of planning calendar, including inputs & outputs required
Mine and analyse data from the company’s databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development and business strategies.
Develop easy to understand reports for branches to enable managers to gain deep understanding of their business that will assist them drive growth and profitability.
Perform regular data analysis to uncover revenue opportunities and identify income leakages.
Develop predictive modeling to increase productivity and efficiency of products
Analysis of Management Information, providing commentary on operational performance; reviewing business drivers and trends, assessing and forecasting their long- and short-term impact.

Required Skills for a Strategic Analyst

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant field
At least three years’ experience working in a similar role
Experience in managing others
Proficient in the use of computer accounting/financial software & applications; Board Software & Microsoft Suite preferred
Worked in a multi-currency environment
High analytical & meticulous attention to detail
Superb written & spoken communication skills, able to translate complex financials to stakeholders
Commercially astute and able to suggest ways to improve product performance
Self-starter and capable of autonomous working
Organized, able to multitask & prioritize work under time pressures
A strong service ethos
A can do, proactive, energetic attitude towards your work & a strong team player
