Job Purpose:
This position is designed to conduct specialized technological tasks related to echocardiography (Echo) scans, supplying physicians with critical data on cardiovascular diseases, illnesses, and disorders.
Overseeing and executing a comprehensive range of duties and tasks, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of key functions essential to the role. These include managing day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to established protocols and procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation to support organizational processes. Additionally, the position requires collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals, identifying and resolving issues promptly, and contributing to strategic planning initiatives. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are critical to excelling in this role, along with proficiency in relevant software and tools.
Conducting a full range of echocardiogram procedures, including both inpatient and outpatient settings, along with performing 24-hour Holder monitor assessments.
We prepare Echocardiogram reports that require subsequent review and final approval by the cardiologist.
Collaborate with cardiologists to conduct Trans-Oesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) procedures.
Responsibilities include interpreting Holder monitor recordings and preparing comprehensive reports for physician review to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Ensure that Echo and Holder Monitor reports are dispatched promptly to patients or referring physicians.
Work in partnership with Biomedical Engineers to guarantee the timely upkeep of all equipment.
Accurate documentation of all conducted tests must be ensured by precisely recording data in the computer system, on designated report forms, and in batch registers.
Develop echocardiographic images and perform diagnostic assessments of patients, subsequently providing these findings to the cardiologist for interpretation. Conduct an initial evaluation of the imaging results and exam data to establish a preliminary prognosis.
Conduct thorough quality control assessments and maintain detailed documentation to verify that the ECHO equipment functions at peak performance; promptly escalate any equipment malfunctions to the Head of Department to facilitate necessary maintenance and repair actions.
Seeking a highly motivated individual with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with proven experience in software development and systems engineering. Candidates should possess strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, as well as familiarity with software development methodologies like Agile and DevOps. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment are essential. The role requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience and the capacity to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions while adhering to industry best practices.
Responsibilities include delivering lectures, leading seminars, and providing academic guidance to students, ensuring they grasp course material effectively. Duties encompass designing and updating curriculum content to align with educational standards, assessing student performance through exams and assignments, and offering constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes. Familiarity with modern pedagogical techniques, proficiency in educational technology tools, and strong communication skills are critical. Graduation from a reputable educational institution with a specialized diploma in Cardiology Technology is required.
Obtaining certification from the relevant Radiology Council of Kenya is required.
