The Assistant Valves Technician collaborates with the Valves Technician to manage the complete valve rehabilitation process within the workshop setting. Upon arrival, valves are inspected for any signs of damage, corrosion, or misalignment, ensuring compliance with quality standards. Accurate records are maintained, detailing receipt dates, batch numbers, and any discrepancies noted during inspection. Additionally, the received valves are assigned unique identifiers and securely stored in designated areas, ready for subsequent stages of assembly or maintenance.

Provide support in the receipt of valves, assigning identification tags to each unit and recording details in alignment with job cards or work orders. Additionally, aid in conducting preliminary visual assessments and documenting the observed condition of the valves.

Provide support to senior technicians in conducting site visits to assess valve conditions and document pertinent data.

Ensure strict adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols, maintain full compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, and uphold impeccable housekeeping standards. Additionally, provide support in the upkeep and maintenance of tools and workshop equipment.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting, is required, along with a minimum of five years of progressive experience in a similar role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with ERP systems are mandatory. Exceptional communication and organizational abilities, along with a keen attention to detail, are critical for success in this position. Prior experience in financial reporting, budgeting, or auditing is highly preferred.

A diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline is required.
