Job Purpose:
The Sales Specialist operates as member of a sales team and is primarily responsible for achievement of sales targets and the implementation of the sales strategies as set out by the management with a specific focus on Temenos’ Microfinance offering The Sales Specialist is responsible for driving the sales cycle from initial contact to signing of the deal, and then maintaining a good client relationship, as well as take part in market analysis and relationship building with senior management and key opinion leaders in the banking and financial services sectors.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Present and create thought leadership for the region in Inclusive Banking and Microfinance for all verticals
Drive new business sales of the microfinance offering within new and existing accounts
Present and articulate the Temenos’s Microfinance strategy and roadmap
Engage in C level discussions about Inclusive Banking strategy and direction for banking
Monitor and communicate trends within the region highlighting not only bank activities but tracking local and global FinTechs
Meet regularly to collaborate with Product Director for Inclusive Banking and other Evangelists to share thought leadership and collateral (whitepapers, presentations)
Skills and Qualifications:
Sales skills: Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, this includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, and sales techniques such as Target Account Selling (TAS) skills .
Technical skills: Specific Aware of Microfinance platforms, users and communities. Knowledge of key trends in Micro Banking and competitor offerings are essential.
Banking Domain knowledge processes, products and services. General knowledge of banking applications.
Educational & Proficiency level: Professional with generally a minimum 7 years of domain experience.
Languages: Fluent in English. A second major language is an advantage.
Soft Skills. Very strong presentation skills, objection handling and effective written communication and personal impact skills essential. Strong team player and able to drive own workload.
Knowledge relating to Temenos solutions and banking preferred.
