Marketing Manager

Job Description
You will manage advertising campaigns, promotions, and events to drive sales of Burn products in Kenya, and be a key advisor to ensure that all marketing is on message, cutting-edge, and effective.
Roles Promotion Management: Identify and execute promotion opportunities that no one else can think of to get people to purchase and sell Burn products.
Media Campaigns: Coordinate effective media campaigns with the marketing & sales department that are in line with the marketing budget. Work with senior management to develop media strategy and make recommendations for optimal media buys to advertise Burn products.
Events: Suggest, coordinate, and run events that create hype, drive sales and generate leads.
Relationship Building: Be the day-to-day driver of the media plan including building relationships with and communicating with media partners.
Contract Negotiations: Be the advertising money-person – negotiate with media companies to get Burn the best pricing, added value, and positioning.
Training & Coaching: Train and coach media partners on the key selling points and unique value proposition of Burn products, like the Jikokoa.
Creative Direction: Provide creative direction on ad campaigns (radio advertising/TV commercials), artwork, and promotional concepts.
Monitoring & Evaluation: Understand the Kenyan media landscape (market share, demographics, popular TV shows etc.) and communicate trends and current events to the department. Monitor, analyse and optimise ROI of marketing campaigns.
Reporting: Produce reports for individual campaigns, promotions, and events, highlighting concept, execution, ROI, and lessons learned.
Department Support: Support the marketing department in other ways deemed necessary by senior management.
Job Requirements
Prior media experience at the management level
College Degree desirable.
Hustle, drive and ability to get media partners excited about Burn products. The ideal candidate can inspire radio producers to compete amongst each other to drive sales for Burn; and in the same day hit the streets of Nairobi to oversee the deployment of 1,000+ branded stickers on matatus.
Ability to speak up, and give honest and candid feedback to management.
Strong analytic skills and knowledge of media management tools, Excel, and marketing procedures
