JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to develop and grow TGOOD Africa business primarily in Kenya in the designated industry as per above.
To ensure the promotion and sales of all TGOOD Africa products and solutions at End-Users, Consultants and Strategic Local and Global Accounts.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Meet annual / quarterly sales targets as agreed
Establish and manage channel partners such as distributors and main electrical contractors
Assist with developing and implementing the business strategy for East Africa and related market segments such as Utilities, Mining and Renewable Energy
Responsible for the sales of:
Ring Main Units
Air Insulated Switchgear
Gas and Hybrid Gas Insulated Switchgear
Variable Speed drive systems
Mini / Compact Substations
Complex MV and HV Electrical Distribution Systems
Sales of specialised solutions and technologies specially developed for the designated market segment;
Liaise with TGOOD Africa (Project and Engineering Centre), with regard to project pursuits and costing and the facilitation of transfer of knowledge (both technical and non-technical);
Formation and leadership of project capture teams for large and/or multi-disciplinary project pursuits;
Facilitating the sale of TGOOD key products to the relevant industry;
Maintain accurate customer database on the server
Maintain project opportunity database
Education & Experience
Preferably have a minimum of a Diploma in Electrical engineering with 5 years of appropriate industry specific experience;
Have more than five (5) years of experience in selling technically complex systems;
Have a high level of technical proficiency on MV and HV switchgear and substation applications
Have a high level of technical proficiency with regards the applicable IEC standards
Key Knowledge and Skills
Have a working knowledge of the specific processes in the relevant end user industry;
Have entrepreneurial flair and business acumen;
Be well organised, able to work under pressure and to use initiative;
Must be able to work independently
High level of self-disciplined
Be a team player;
Be fluent in English; being able to communicate in Mandarin would be advantagous
Have good communication and interpersonal skills;
Be able to effectively deal with colleagues, superiors and customers at all levels;
Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Intimate knowledge of the customer needs and value drivers (relationship building at all levels)
Understanding customer strategies and buying patterns and mapping these precisely with the TGOOD products, systems and services
Be able to develop good working knowledge about TGOOD Products and Solutions to do a successful presentation to customers
