Operations Manager

About the Position
As a key member of the leadership team, the OM will play a critical role within our organization.  The OM will oversee Supply Chain, Logistics and After Sales Service, and will interact closely with our Finance Manager, ensuring efficient allocation and management of our resources.
The OM will drive oversee operations across Kenya, as well as manage international logistics for our products across our markets. The OM will work closely with the General Manager, Finance Manager, Sales VP, and other team leaders to ensure that BioLite maintains long-term sustainable operations to support our plans for growth and expansion. The OM will be a key player in making BioLite a scalable, sector-leading organization.
The OM will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all operational elements within the company. S/he will also work closely with senior leadership to help maintain the right “climate” and culture within our company, and to drive execution of approaches to measure and improve the climate.
Specific Responsibilities
You make our business work.  Across the board, you’re responsible that projects you are assigned happen on time, on budget, and at the highest quality standard.
Supply Chain: Drive supply chain efficiencies that can be integrated across BioLite’s channel partners and geographies; manage logistics partners.  Lead inventory management, quality control, and  containerized shipment processes.  
Sales Operations Support: Support sales channel leaders and partners to execute against delivery commitments and optimize last-mile delivery plans; ensure process flows for data, revenues, and forecasts are running smoothly.
Measurements and Evaluation: Oversee the management of all in-country data flows, survey tools, CRM, and field management software; prepare data-driven analyses and reports, as assigned.  Manage Kenya Master Data Tracker dashboard.
After Sales Servicing: Establish workflow and internal standards compliance on reporting, servicing, and tracking after-sales service claims across country.
Market Planning: Support distribution strategies and market launch plans for new product launches; help establish strategies to support launch of new products (installation teams, deployment of marketing materials, sample coordination, etc.)
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree.
5+ years of relevant operational and senior management experience.
Excellent track record for building organizational culture, leading teams, and mentoring leaders to achieve targeted outcomes regardless of challenges.  Proven ability to motivate and inspire.
Team player and self-starter: ability to work collaboratively, but also self-managing and work well independently
Entrepreneurial mindset, strong interpersonal skills and a hands-on approach to getting things done.
Project management experience creating and successfully executing timelines, budgets, and forecasts
Robust and creative problem-solver. Excel under pressure and able to satisfy multiple, sometimes competing, demands for attention. 

Excellent analytical and financial skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong presentation skills.
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
Judgment and decision-making ability.
Flexibility and ability to transition across a variety of roles.
Strong work ethic; willingness to work a nontraditional work schedule.
Openness to evolving responsibilities.
Bonus if you have:
MBA or similar degree.
Experience in clean energy.
Experience in exports and supply chains, best if in specialized products (clean energy).
Experience working in a startup environment.
Experience using NetSuite Enterprise Resource Planning software.
