Head of Individual Life

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering value of new business, operating profit & annual profit income budget as set on the bonus drivers.
The candidate will be in charge of following key strategic outputs in regard to the agency workforce – sales revenue achievement, business quality management, training, recruitment, retention and motivation of manpower.
The successful candidate will have the following primary responsibilities:
Develop, implement and review sales strategic plan;
Achieve sales revenue budget for Retail Sales team;
Grow and defend market share position;
Direct, guide, manage and offer support to the sales force;
Develop, nurture and grow sales management;
Manage quality of business, persistency, productivity and overall sales performance;
Recruit, retain and motivate high caliber sales teams;
Manage sales costs and branch administration;
Lead teams in market research and product development;
Ensure the business drivers for API, Case Count and persistency are met;
Recruit high caliber Branch leadership;
Take charge of Branch rationalization to ensure that all branches are profit making;
Ensure the retail structure is optimum.

Minimum Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Marketing option is preferred;
A master’s degree in relevant field will be an added advantage;
A professional qualification in Marketing – CIM/Diploma in Sales or Marketing;
Professional qualification in Insurance i.e COP, CII or LOMA;
A minimum of ten (10) years’ relevant experience, with five (5) at a managerial level.
Technical Competence in Insurance;
Basic Knowledge of regulations by AKI and IRA
