Reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer, East Africa the incumbent will be responsible for formulating investment philosophy, strategy and processes to ensure overall business delivery. The role is also responsible for overall performance and management of the Investment, stockbroking and unit trust business in East Africa and accountable for achieving results through comprehensive business management.
Role Overview
Responsible for setting the investment philosophy, strategy and process in East Africa.
Responsible for ensuring alignment between OMIGSA and East Africa Asset Management at a philosophy level.
Responsible for performance of overall business delivery.
Responsible for the governance, compliance and general control environment within Asset Management.
Responsible for the overall client relationship in the business.
Responsible for the development of new solutions (Asset Management Products) in East Africa
Responsible for ensuring that efficient business processes and practices are in place.
Responsible for people management aspects of the Asset Management business.
Responsible for the Business Unit budget
Responsible for return on Capital
Responsible for the quality, Internal controls and overall Risk Management within the Business Unit.
Develops the proposition for the Asset Management business and ensures implementation in the countries in the region.

Qualifications and experience
Relevant Master’s degree. Professional qualification
At least 7 years senior management experience.
