HR Job Responsibilities
Coordinate recruitment and selection activities
Conduct induction and on boarding programs
Develop a robust performance management system
Support the General Manager in enhancing staff retention.
Manage employee training and learning development programs to enhance career development
Assist in developing, reviewing and implementing appropriate Human capital policies & procedures;
Manage the HRIS, producing regular HR reports and maintaining updated HR information Systems
Oversee the maintenance of personnel files
Preparing and administering the Corporation’s payroll
Administer employee benefit programs (medical, gratuity, insurances, pension and group life).
Manage and updating staff leave
Ensure compliance and adherence to company policies, procedures, systems and statutory requirements
Manage staff welfare programs
Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures
Any other tasks that may be assigned to you by your immediate supervisor
Qualifications for the HR Job
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management
Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management would be ideal
A member of IHRM – Institute of Human Resource Management – Kenya
Basic Counselling
At least 3 years’ experience in HR Management, preferably in an insurance company
Conflict resolution skills
Interpersonal and counselling skills
Planning and organizing skills
Good communication skills – verbal and written
Business and Analytical skills
