YEDF GRADE 2- THREE YEAR RENEWABLE CONTRACT. REF: YEDF/DCS/03
The Director, Corporate Services, will be responsible to the CEO for providing strategic leadership and direction in the provision of the Corporate Services. An officer at this level will be responsible for coordination and management of all activities in the Department.
Duties for the Corporate Services Director Job
Specific duties and responsibilities will entail:-
overseeing formulation, development, interpretation and review of Finance, Accounts, Human Resource Management, Administration, Research, Planning, M&E, Public Communication, ICT policies, procedures, strategies, programmes, guidelines and standards;
providing strategic leadership and direction in the performance of the Finance, Accounts, Human Resource Management, Administration, Research, Planning, M&E, Public Communication, ICT functions;
analyzing the Fund Finance, Accounts, Human Resource Management, Administration, Research, Planning, M&E, Public Communication, ICT structures and systems and recommending areas of improvement;
initiating development of performance management and improvement strategies;
overseeing administration and implementation of the Fund’s staff welfare programmes;
overseeing preparation and implementation of the Fund’s personnel emoluments budgets;
establishing and managing the Fund’s registries and ensuring safe custody of all records;
ensuring functional compliance to statutory regulations;
coordinating office accommodation for YEDF’s staff;
establishing and managing human resource information management systems;
overseeing maintenance of up-to-date inventory of YEDF’s stores and assets;
coordinating Gender and Disability mainstreaming;
coordinating preparation of reports and responses to parliamentary questions;
planning and budgeting for the activities and programmes of the department; and
building capacity and managing performance of staff in the Department.
Corporate Services Director Job Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
Served in a relevant field in the Private or Public Sector for a cumulative period of six (6) years, three (3) of which must have been in a Senior Management position;
Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines:- Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Commerce (Accounting/Finance Option), Finance, Economics, Business Management/Administration, Public Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Post Graduate qualifications in a Business related field from a recognized institution;
A qualification in Strategic Leadership Course will be an added advantage;
Membership to a relevant professional body;
Met the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution;
Computer proficiency; and
Demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence in work performance and results.
