Human Resources Officer

Reporting to Managing Director, the job holder will be responsible for developing, leading and implementing Human Resource strategy, systems and policies that attracts, motivates and retains best talent and nurtures a performance culture and administration support to meet business objectives
Roles for the Human Resources Officer Job
Developing and implementing the HR strategy to meet the business objectives and provide a competitive edge
Developing, implementing and monitoring HR policies and procedures to enhance business and individual performance while ensuring compliance
Leading and Implementing the Management Development Programs  that Attracts, nurtures and retains talent
Ensuring a high performance culture is embedded in the organization to meet the business objectives and targets
Developing and leading human Resource Capacity Building initiatives to enhance Performance and build Skills and Competencies in the organization to  ensure that employees are updated on the skills needed in order to  improve the ongoing service delivery
Developing and leading manpower planning; Talent flow, Career and Succession plans that ensures individual growth and availability of talent for both current and future needs of the organization
Leading and monitoring Employee Relations and Employee welfare to build a conducive work environment in the Company through management of investigations and grievances processes in conjunction with other departmental heads Leading the planning and implementation of change initiatives and programmes
Leading and managing Reward to ensure reward systems are in place to deliver competitiveness and cost effectiveness in order to motivate and retain talent
Ensure that Payroll inputs , preparing weekly, monthly and annual labour analysis and ad-hoc reports and  workforce administration and Human Resource Information system/ filing is up to date ( HRIS) are enhanced to improve Service Delivery
Updating and managing leave schedules and records, generating leave reports and ensuring adherence to the leave policy and procedure
Managing the staff records and implementing the relevant actions (probation, contract renewal, disciplinary letters, termination, resignation, promotion, internship, DIT, Induction programs, etc)Administering the company schemes (welfare, medical, long service, Insurance) in line with the policy, procedure and guideline
Reviewing and updating job descriptions to  ensure alignment to organizational needs
Any other responsibility as may be assigned from time to time
Key Perfomance Indicators
Developing and implementing HR Strategy that delivers the Business plan.
Improved performance score of all newly recruited employees within 6 months
Enhancement of staff capability through training (No. of  employee monthly/ annually)Annual leave management Conduct bi- annual employee satisfaction survey
HR records management – availability of data for timely decision making Performance reviewed and documented annually for entire company.
HR support –  all employees concerns addressed on timely basis
Resolution and settlement of grievances and disputes as per statutory and company procedures

Human Resources Officer Job Qualifications
First degree (preferred Social Sciences)Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource management
Member of IHRM
Excellent communication skills
Excellent Employee Relations Skill
A Team Player with excellent interpersonal skills
2 Years’ experience in a manufacturing concern
