The Digital Communications Manager will be integral to building GEAPP’s communications through our digital presence and voice, as well building GEAPP’s brand through innovative design projects to support our advocacy efforts. The Digital Communications Manager will leverage their exceptional writing, content production, web and design skills to develop smart, approachable, and engaging content for GEAPP’s digital channels.
Accountabilities
Manage the development and execution of brand strategy and narrative to align with GEAPP’s communications and advocacy strategy.
Lead the creative content design and production of our brand and alliance campaign and advocacy work and digital toolkits for GEAPP and partner dissemination using the GEAPP brand guidelines.
Lead on all digital projects for the organization including production of, social media content, web content, and similar.
Create branded digital and print collateral for high-level global and regional moments and events, including invitations, banners, holding screens, and similar.
Support on organizational storytelling and development of human impact stories.
Lead on GEAPP’s website strategy and implementation, including creating and updating evergreen webpages, keeping the news, “our team” and project sections updated, and SEO.
Lead on the digital content plan and production of the organization’s annual impact report, Powering People and Planet (P3).
Manage relationship with Digital marketing and web development agency in close collaboration with the Communications team.
Develop and produce web-specific storytelling content for GEAPP’s website in close collaboration with GEAPP staff.
Develop data visualization assets for use on website, social media channels, and fundraising materials using Flourish.
Manage roll out of the organization’s communications library and digital asset management, Brand folder, including the organization and curation of photo and video content.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
University degree in relevant subjects such as international development, international relations, communications, public policy, public health, education, economics, or similar areas or equivalent additional work experience
Substantial expertise in digital communications with a minimum of 6-10 years of experience in the function.
Skilled in Canva, WordPress and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Skills in full Adobe Suite is a plus.
Experience in using organizational brand guidelines to create exciting and engaging digital content.
Experience in working in/with philanthropies, non-profits, international organizations.
Experience in the energy/climate sector is a plus.
