Senior Marketing Officer

Job purpose

This main purpose of this role is to assist in creating and implementing marketing and branding strategies that will build the company’s brand and products brands  leading to increased awareness, increased market share and generation of leads . 

Key responsibilities

Assist in driving and implementing all marketing activities to ensure on-brand positioning and awareness across all aspects of the marketing mix, inbound and outbound.
Assist in ensuring  all marketing goals, campaigns and strategies are aligned with the sales strategy by creating an active sales activation plan through events , promotional activities , liaising with communications officer and the sales team . 
Assist in utilization of critical market and competitive research to segment and define target markets refine, and improve the product value proposition and implement the best market penetration strategy 
Participate in developing & maintaining long term relationships with built environment consultants to include fundis and industry thought leaders , marketing associations and advisors .
Monitor stock levels of branding & collateral material in liaison with procurement department.
Create an information pool on competitors, industry trends, consumer profiles in the country. 
Support the delivery of companywide internal and external activations to grow the brand both within the organization and without, ensure that the marketing objectives  branch strategy are implemented 
Oversee overall events branding and logistics to ensure the events run seamlessly and in accordance with objectives set.
Assist in ensuring proper branding in line with global brand visual identity guidelines in all customer touchpoints including events, web /digital, showrooms and points of sale.
Assist in brand campaign execution calendars and ensure all activities, events and activations are coordinated throughout the brand campaign period.
Support Space and Style products awareness activity plan , ensure that there is increased product awareness and provide recommendations on improvements based on customer feedback .
Monitor campaign response/measure success of each campaign and make recommendations to immediate supervisor and put into place agreed on follow-up actions.
Actively participate in generating leads from all activities and follow-up. Offer recommendations based on the conversion of leads / feedback from the sales team.
Support the implementation of loyalty program, recruit and manage lifestyle partners .Provide recommendations on lifestyle partners .
Implement and leverage the latest marketing tools and technologies 
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports as may be required.
Support the implementation of the CSR (Space and Style Jamii) branding strategy, events, and activity plan. 
Contribute to the effective and efficient running of the marketing Branding and communications office as appropriate. 
Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time.

Internal Relationships: 

The Marketing Officer is:

Directly accountable to the Marketing, Branding and Communications Manager.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or any other business-related fields.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing , trade marketing , marketing operations ,branding , sales activations , digital
