We are seeking a dedicated and skilled a driver to join our team at a manufacturing company in Nairobi Kenya.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely transporting company staff as well as various products and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner.
Assisting with the loading and offloading of staff luggage, products, and materials.
Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction.
Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours.
Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing.
Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning and vehicle maintenance.
Performing daily checks to ensure vehicle is always in sound condition
Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s coming and goings.
Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management.
Ensuring that the vehicle have sufficient fuel and is always ready for use.
Arranging for vehicle repairs when necessary
Perform any other relevant duty that might be assigned from time to time
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Five years driving experience on 4X4 vehicles on challenging terrain
Familiar with basic vehicle maintenance
Experience driving senior managers
At least O-level certificate
Valid driving license
Possession of a defensive driving certificate an added advantage
Good planner
Excellent oral and writing communication skills
Preferably from Western Kenya
