Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechatronic Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in creating prototypes, working with a wide range of electronic components, and programming various microcontroller boards. Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and test prototypes using breadboards and other prototyping tools.
Work with and integrate various electronic components, including but not limited to sensors, cameras, motors, and other peripherals.
Develop and implement microcontroller-based systems using Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and other relevant boards.
Write and debug programs in low-level languages (e.g., Assembly, C, C++).
Collaborate with teams to integrate mechanical and electronic components into functioning systems.
Contribute to mechanical fabrication as needed, ensuring compatibility and seamless operation with electronic systems.
Document designs, processes, and results, ensuring clear communication of technical specifications and outcomes.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in mechatronics, electronics, and programming.
Design and simulate electronic circuits using Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools for PCB layout and circuit design.
Use Circuit/EDA design tools such as KiCAD, EasyEDA, and Eagle for PCB development.
Utilize CAD tools such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, and FreeCAD for designing mechanical components and enclosures.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in prototyping and electronics design.
Proficiency with microcontroller boards such as Raspberry Pi and Arduino.
Strong programming skills in low-level languages (e.g., Assembly, C, C++).
Familiarity with high-level programming languages (e.g., Ruby, Python, JavaScript) is an added advantage.
Experience with EDA tools for circuit design, PCB layout, and simulation (e.g., KiCAD, EasyEDA, Eagle).
Experience with CAD tools for mechanical design (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, FreeCAD).
Experience with mechanical fabrication and working with 3D printers, CNC machines, or other fabrication tools is a plus.
Solid understanding of electronic components, circuits, and embedded systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
