Key Responsibilities:
Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in the solar energy sector.
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to expand Huawei’s solar energy solutions within Kenya
Identify and assess potential business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances to drive market penetration and growth.
Lead the negotiation and closing of high-value deals and contracts with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders in the solar energy industry.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and addressing any issues or concerns.
Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, product development, legal, finance) to ensure the successful execution of solar energy projects.
Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept and proposal to implementation and post-project evaluation.
Drive sales growth by developing and implementing strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Monitor sales performance, analyze key metrics, and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve business objectives.
Work closely with the product development team to tailor Huawei’s solar energy solutions to meet the specific needs of the Kenya market.
Provide market feedback to the product team for continuous improvement and innovation of solar energy products.
Ensure all business activities comply with local regulations and Huawei’s policies and standards.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with business development activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the solar energy or renewable energy sector.
Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing business strategies that drive revenue growth.
Experience in managing complex projects and working with cross-functional teams.
