Supervisory Administrative Assistant (CDC)

Duties

The job holder supervises a team of Administrative Assistants and is responsible for the daily management, administrative tasks, and coordination of programs to support a diverse range of agency-funded activities executed by programs within CDC Kenya. The incumbent leads a team of administrative professionals to complete this work. The role encompasses duties related to travel, administrative personnel duties, oversight of all TDYs, and logistics processes. Additionally, the job holder actively contributes to the planning and coordination of operational activities that underpin the CDC Kenya cost share budget. Serving as a vital link, the incumbent acts as a liaison between the Country Director, Deputy Country Director, and other Program Directors at CDC, facilitating seamless coordination of agency activities including engagements with the Ministry of Health, County Governments, and multi-lateral partners. The position will report to the CDC Kenya Deputy Country Director – GS 15 USDH 96-CD1183.

EXPERIENCE: 

Five years of progressively responsible administrative management experience in a public health or international development program that includes administrative management of acquisitions, grants, contracts or cooperative agreement documentation and reporting, files management and exposure to external clients is required.
One year of supervisory experience of administrative staff is required.
