Sales Executive

SUMMARY:

The Sales Executive with an interior design background will be responsible for driving sales growth by leveraging the expertise in furniture and interior design to meet the needs of clients. This role involves identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, maintaining relationships with clients, and providing expert advice on furniture selection and space planning. The ideal candidate is expected to have a strong sales acumen, a keen eye for design, and a deep understanding of the furniture industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Development:

Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the furniture market, including retail, commercial, and residential clients.
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
Meet or exceed sales targets and quotas set by the company.

Client Consultation and Relationship Management:

Provide expert advice to clients on furniture selection, space planning, and interior design to meet their specific needs and preferences.
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Conduct site visits and consultations to understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions.

Product Knowledge and Demonstration:

Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s furniture products, including materials, finishes, and customization options.
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features and benefits of furniture offerings.
Stay updated on industry trends, design innovations, and new product releases to provide informed recommendations to clients.

Sales Process Management:

Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals, including preparing and presenting sales proposals.
Collaborate with the sales and design teams to create customized furniture packages that align with client needs.
Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of furniture.

Interior Design Expertise:

Utilize interior design knowledge to assist clients in visualizing how furniture will fit within their spaces.
Provide design recommendations that enhance the functionality and aesthetics of client spaces.
Work with clients to create design concepts, and layouts that reflect their visual picture.

Market Research and Analysis:

Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor offerings, and potential gaps in the market.
Provide feedback to the product development and marketing teams based on client preferences and industry trends.
Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and strategies for increasing market share.

Customer Service and After-Sales Support:

Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and after the sale is complete.
Address any client concerns or issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
Follow up with clients post-sale to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of sales experience in the furniture or interior design industry.
Strong knowledge of interior design principles, space planning, and furniture trends.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in design softwares.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment:

This role typically operates in a showroom, office, or client’s premises.
Regular travel to client sites, industry events, and networking opportunities may be required.
Flexibility is needed to meet client demands or attend events.
