Administrator People and Culture

Basic job summary:
Working as a member of the (People and Culture) P&C team, the position holder shall be responsible for providing efficient, professional, and comprehensive People and Culture services that are customerfocused and flexible in order to achieve the respective faculties/schools/centers Units’ people and business strategy.
Duties & Responsibilities:

In liaison with the People and Culture Business Partner, maintain and enhance the Business Unit’s resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and People and Culture policies, programs, and practices.
In liaison with the People and Culture Business Partner and the respective units assist in developing and implementation of the workforce plans to ensure that the Business units are adequately resourced at all times;
Coordinate the Talent Attraction and Acquisition process in liaison with the Heads of Departments.
Ensure effective and timely contract management in line with the University’s policy;
Ensure that new employees are properly on-boarded to foster a positive attitude, alignment to the University Values and Culture as well as ensure that the employees effectively integrate into the University; Manage all separations by ensuring that exit interviews are conducted in a timely manner and feedback provided to Management;
Initiate correspondence and other documentation relating to staff appointments, training, staff appraisal, Medical Insurance and Provident fund to ensure compliance with P&C policies and procedures;
Collect and analyze employee data and maintain accurate and complete employee records.
Provide People & Culture expertise on projects.
Propose People and Culture Policy review, compile relevant reports and analyze the trends for Management decision making. 
Ensure that all correspondence relating to references, confirmations, transfers, new appointments are dealt with, within agreed timeframes to provide quality service to employees and other stakeholders.
Facilitate and advise line managers on disciplinary actions, employment arrangements and industrial relations.
Perform employee advocate functions such as responding to questions pertaining to benefits programs such as medical insurances, retirement plans, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources, or any other related field from recognised institution
Professional qualification in Human Resource Management
Membership to IHRM
At least 3 years relevant experience
