Investigation Officer

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop investigation/work plans for the cases allocated.
Undertake investigations on allegations of fraud or misappropriation of company property or any criminal activity.
Carry out ad hoc investigations and reviews based on audit findings.
Gathering and analyzing evidence and organizing it in statements, sets of records and facts.
Gather information and produce intelligence reports to inform investigations.
Ensure safe custody of all investigative records and evidence.
Document all investigations in a concise, factual and timely manner.
Support prosecution process in court by attending court sittings involving investigations handled.
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Academic and Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
Training in fraud examination/investigations from a recognized institution or
Professional qualifications – CPA(K)/CIA/CISA/ACCA
Experience; At least 3 years audit experience in a commercial setting or professional audit firm
