KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key area Activity
Flight Operations Prepare flight planning for all allocated flights promptly.
Participate in the planning and execution of company flights in accordance with company policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Carry out flight-related duties in accordance with company Standard
Operating Procedures (SOPs) as allocated and guided by the Captain.
Assist the Chief Pilot’s office with flight operations matters, including flight evacuation planning and execution in the areas of operation.
Assist in performing functional checks or maintenance test flights as required.
Support the medical crew during medical evacuations as needed.
Work closely with Flight Operations and assist with office tasks as directed.
Help the Captain communicate with Air Traffic Control during take-off and landing.
Communicate regularly with the crew on board and with Flight Operations during the flight.
Aid the medical team with loading and unloading patients to ensure safe flight missions.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Administrative
Duties Support librarian services and maintain flight crew records/documents in accordance with company procedures.
Manage stationery for the section.
Assist the Chief Pilot with work-related tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
KCSE Grade certificate or an equivalent.
Hold a Kenyan Commercial Pilots License (CPL) with current instrument rating.
Multi-Engine Rating added advantage
Successfully passed Performance A and Gas turbine papers
Hold a class 1 medical certificate
Valid Passport required – must have 6 months’ validity by internship end date
Good technical knowledge of flight including air navigation, meteorology flying directives,
aircraft operating procedures and d mission tactics.
Knowledge of local airstrips
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
