Security Operations Manager

ROLE SUMMARY

The Security Operations Manager ensures that threats to personnel, assets, and business operations/activities within the company’s factories and estates are continuously identified, properly evaluated and mitigated in a timely and cost-effective manner.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Security Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect the organization’s assets and personnel.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage the security team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Foster a culture of professionalism, integrity, and excellence within the security department.
Security Operations: Oversee day-to-day security operations, including access control, surveillance, and alarm systems.
Coordinate and conduct regular drills and training exercises to ensure the readiness of security personnel.
Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate measures.
Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response plans to address security breaches, emergencies, and other critical incidents.
Investigate security incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments to assess security needs and integrate security measures into overall organizational plans.
Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, and external security partners as needed.
Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and ensure that all security personnel are trained and prepared to respond to emergencies effectively.
Share daily operational situational reports from respective business unit.
Routine spot checks within operational area to ensure security and safety compliance for both for both Lipton security officers and outsourced 3P security officers.
Identify training needs for the Supervisors and security officers and coordinate their training.
Support in driving safety culture across the operational unit.
Manage and ensure adherence to both internal and 3P staffing levels within the operational area.
Coordinate Night shift security operations at the Factory and Estates including Night Harvesting and alertness of both the Internal and 3P Security Officers

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) is a plus.
Proven experience in security management, with a focus on operations and team leadership.
Strong knowledge of security best practices, technologies, and industry standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing security operations.
Proficient in the use of security-related technologies and software
Good experience of physical and electronic security- access procedures, perimeter protection, CCTV, intruder alarms
Ability to provide a security input in crisis response and business contingency plans
Sound understanding of principles in the protection of company information, including computer bases and measures required to achieve this.
