PPB Dashboard Development Consultancy – Kenya

This will entail gathering information from PPB staff and external users/clients on their specific needs and requirements for the envisaged regulatory information dashboard. The results of this assignment will inform the design, development, deployment and use of the proposed regulatory information dashboard for the PPB.

Key Responsibilities/Tasks
The consultant will:

Interview a cross section of PPB staff and external clients to collect the end-users’ specific needs for a regulatory information dashboard.
Collate the suggestions from the sampled end-users and work with PPB IT manager, PQM+ team and other experts/partners supporting PPB to develop a use case and user requirements specifications document that considers functional requirements and non-functional requirements.
Review information dashboards from comparable regulators and recommend relevant attributes for incorporating into the PPB dashboard.
Create, implement, and manage a stakeholder engagement matrix; and participate in joint meetings with PPB, PQM+, and other stakeholders involved in the development of the PPB regulatory information dashboard.

Assignment Deliverables

Brief inception report demonstrating understanding of the assignment
Users’ specific needs report on the regulatory information dashboard
End-user requirement specifications for the regulatory information dashboard

Basic Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems/management or related field. An advanced qualification in a closely related field will be an advantage.
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in information systems analysis and design (or end-to-end software development), in Kenya
Experience in designing and developing interactive informational dashboards that are linked to databases will be added advantage.

Other Competencies

Experience with Identification of Medicinal Product’s (IDMP) five ISO standards is desirable.
Experience in pharma regulation is desirable.
Demonstrates high professional integrity and zeal to work.
Results driven with demonstrated successful outcomes.
Ability to work with multiple teams and willingness to consider others’ ideas
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
