Head of Diaspora Remittances & Cross border Payments – Group

Job Purpose:
Consistent with the organization’s purpose of transforming lives, giving dignity and expanding opportunities for wealth creation, the position holder will be responsible for strategic development/onboarding of Money Transfer Operators (MTOs), Cross-border Payment operators, aggregators, fintech, etc. at Equity Group Holdings_level.  The Head of Diaspora Remittances & Cross-border will work closely with the Group Director in establishing, maintaining and executing the Group’s strategy across all subsidiaries to ensure goals are met per established KPIs. 
The Head of Diaspora Remittances & Cross-border payment will also be responsible for talent recruitment, performance management, including rewards, and team development, working closely with cross-functional partners such in Operations, Compliance & Risk, Finance and Commercial teams.  This role will also involve close collaboration in the forms of cross-training, team-building activities with Kenya’s Diaspora Remittance and Cross-border Payment teams, consistent with the ONE Equity culture and values.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Engage and Onboard International Money Transfer partners across the group.
Formulate and implement strategies aimed at growing new remittance business and revenues.
Drive revenue growth for Cross Border Payments across the group by identifying opportunities and usurping them for the group benefit.
Manage and promote strong, long-lasting relationships with the International Money Transfer service providers
Own and manage products and channel cross border payments targets to contribute towards the growth of assets and liabilities in consideration of risk management around partner funding.
Work closely with the technical teams to ensure systems availability and high quality of service standards.
Work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to increase brand awareness and drive business growth.
Ensure that Bank’s Policies and procedures are in place and adhered to at all times as well as work with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure due diligence conducted on the Money Transfer Service providers.
Adherence to bank policies, procedures and any other duties assigned.

Key Deliverables (KPIs):

Growth in the IMT Partnership network across the group
Growth of PayPal merchants
Productivity of IMT & CB partners – Transaction Counts, Revenue, Volume (vs. PY & Plan)
Implementation of projects/initiatives
Compliance with partner and central bank requirements
Closure of audit reports

Qualifications
Job Specifications:

University degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field from a recognised institution.
5 years’ experience in international banking
Experience in relationship management and customer service with the ability to build long-term, high quality and trusted relationships
Experience in business development, excellent communication, planning and organisation skills with the ability to set and meet targets and strict timelines.
