Operations Manager – Wine Shop Wine Steward/ Waiter – Wine Shop

Location: Gigiri Courtyard, Gigiri Lane
Job Summary: We are seeking a mature, trustworthy and proactive Operations Manager to oversee our high-end wine shop, which also serves other alcoholic beverages to takeaway and sit-in customers. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team in a similar environment. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs), stock control, cash and bank reconciliations and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily operations of the wine shop and bar, ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction.
Lead, train and supervise staff, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
Develop and implement SOPs to streamline operations and maintain consistency.
Maintain a clean and descent environment at all times.
Monitor and control inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing wastage.
Conduct bank and cash reconciliations accurately and promptly.
Handle client and supplier communications, including receiving calls and managing inquiries.
Ensure the shop is compliant with all health and safety regulations.
Provide basic wine knowledge to customers and staff and be open to further training.
Utilize POS system effectively for transactions and reporting.
Oversee procurement processes and manage supplier relationships.
Perform IT-related tasks and maintain records using MS Office tools.

Qualifications and Experience:

Preferably a lady aged 30 years and above.
Proven experience working in a high-end bar or similar setting.
Demonstrated experience in team management and staff training.
Experience in developing and implementing SOPs.
Basic wine knowledge with a willingness to learn more.
Stock control and inventory management skills.
Experience in bank and cash reconciliations.
Proficient in IT with basic knowledge of MS Office and POS systems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Must be hardworking, proactive, and able to work independently.
Preferably residing close to Gigiri or in a safe environment nearby (will be required to work until late)

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position.
