Hotel Manager

Duties:

Provide the Revenue Management Department with market analysis and forecasts of competitors’ rates and local market conditions impacting occupancy and rates.
Support sales efforts as directed by management.
Train front desk staff on selling techniques and current promotions procedures.

Financial Results:

Assist in budget planning by forecasting changes in operating expenses and labor costs.
Manage costs based on business forecasts, scheduling labor according to staffing guidelines, and controlling other expenses and utility costs.

Guest Satisfaction:

Train staff in guest service procedures and handling upset guests according to company standards.
Personally handle difficult guest situations and resolve service issues promptly.
Respond to guest complaints and comments in line with company standards.

Employee Management:

Recruit, select, train, and manage employees to deliver quality guest services and achieve revenue and profit goals.
Administer HR policies, payroll, and personnel transactions.
Develop potential management candidates and trainees as per HR guidelines.

Leadership and Compliance:

Conduct business professionally and in accordance with company policies, ethical standards, and conflict of interest guidelines.
Maintain satisfactory scores in employee satisfaction surveys and manage turnover levels.
Ensure hotel physical condition meets established quality control standards to enhance guest experience and protect company assets.

Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or Business and public relations is a plus. Equivalent experience is acceptable.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

2 – 5 years as Hotel General Manager or other hotel management role.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
Skilled in managing multiple interruptions while maintaining professional and courteous service to internal and external customers.
Flexibility in work hours and availability for extended hours, nights, and weekends.
Proficiency in various computer software applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills and decision-making ability.
Capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and obtain required certifications.
